Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Wu Gang Upgrade Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
Wu Gang is your best source for armor, consumables, and—most importantly—weapon upgrade materials. While he starts with a very basic inventory, you can expand his stock by finding 9 unique upgrade items. Delivering all 9 items to him will unlock the Shop of Plenty trophy/achievement.
Unlike stationary vendors, Wu Gang is a traveler. He relocates as you move through the story, typically appearing at the main hub-shrine of each chapter:
- Chapter 1: Initially found in Lightzen Temple, then moves to Shu Sanctum.
- Chapter 2: Relocates to the Snowy Passage and later the Refugee Camp.
- Endgame: His final location is typically the Ruined Annalum.
The most vital reason to complete Wu Gang’s questline is for the Red Feathers. These allow you to upgrade your weapon mastery at Shrines:
- Faint Red Feathers: Unlocked via the Incense Burner. Essential for reaching Mastery +3.
- Brilliant Red Feathers: Unlocked via the Used Mortar. Essential for reaching Mastery +6.
- Radiant Red Feathers: Unlocked via the Gilded Axe. Essential for reaching Mastery +9.
Note: If you find yourself underpowered in the mid-game, make sure you haven't missed the Used Mortar in the Shaft Entrance. Buying the 10 Brilliant Feathers from Wu Gang is often the fastest way to bridge the power gap before a major boss.
